We made it!

We all arrived safely in Tegucigalpa around 9:30 this morning. Two lovely American volunteers and the bus driver from the mission met us there to collect all the luggage, change money and then head to the Valley of the Angels for lunch and souvenir shopping. 

Every single piece of luggage we checked arrived in tact. Customs randomly opened two of our eight containers, which had toothbrushes covering the top. The agents were so excited to get free toothbrushes that they forgot about searching our supplies and we all passed through without any problems. 

We are baleadas and tacos in Valley of the Angels and found some awesome souvenirs for our loved ones back home. 

It was another 2 hour drive to Guaimaca from the valley of the angels. We finally made it to our hotel, dropped off all our bags and went right over to the clinic to start setting up. Everyone pitched in to get the clinic organized with one room devoted to dentistry and the other devoted to medicine and nursing. We are all exhausted after traveling all night and day and are finally relaxing at the hotel restaurant. We are all looking forward to a successful mission these up coming days.
